Zoom

Isabella woke up to the sound of a woman’s voice. “Who’s there?” she shouted. “Relax.” said Charlotte. “It’s just Mrs.Julie.” 

“Why is our teacher here?” said Isabella.

“She’s not in our house. She’s on the Zoom meeting that you’re supposed to be watching right now!” Charlotte said. 

“ What’s Zoom?” asked Isabella. 

It’s a website where you can do digital meetings. We’re supposed to do one every morning with our class while we’re stuck at home for a week.” said Charlotte. 

“Oh. Wait.. does this mean mom and dad got us laptops?!” exclaimed Isabella.

“Yep.” said Charlotte. “And yours is in pastel purple, your favorite color.”

Yes! Though Isabella. Now I can finally use those new gaming headphones Alisha got me for my birthday! Isabella rushed to her new laptop on her pastel purple aesthetic desk, and she started making accounts on all the games her friends recommended to her.

“I hope you’re doing your schoolwork!” said Charlotte.

Oh right, my schoolwork! Thought Isabella. I’ll do it soon. First I have to try out these new games!

Isabella played for hours and hours until she heard the house phone ring. She heard her mom answer it, so she went back to gaming. Then her parents called her and Charlotte to dinner.

Dang it! I didn’t get to do my schoolwork I was to distracted gaming! I’ll just do it after dinner… Thought Isabella.

“So, Isabella,” said Mrs.Game. “Care to talk about what your teacher told me and your dad on the phone?”
