The Prince and the Dressmaker

The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang is better than it sounds. It is about a Prince who secretly wears dresses and goes out to parties and beauty contests dressed in them at night. His dressmaker, Frances, is getting well known for being Lady Crystallia’s seamstress. (Lady Crystalia is the prince’s alter-ego). But Frances is also becoming known for being Prince Sebastian’s seamstress. Once Frances gets the chance of a lifetime to get her clothes into a famous fashion show, she must decline or else everyone one will know the Prince’s secret. Will Frances keep living her life a secret? Or will she step up and make her life everything she wanted? Read this in The Prince and the Dressmaker!

“How does this book so perfectly combine exquisite and intricate dresses, adorable and lovable characters, and a perfect story about coming to know yourself as an adolescent? Jen Wang is a genius and I want Frances to design me a dress so I can go to the ballet with Lady Crystallia.”

The Prince and the Dressmaker is like a best friend. Sometimes it takes you shopping, and sometimes it makes you cry, but it always loves you just the way you are.”
